New Years Resolution Time

It’s New Years Resolution season and most people are trying to figure out what changes they want to make in their lives: eat healthier, workout, lose weight, try something new, etc.  Resolution is defined as finding an answer or a solution to a problem or conflict.  I don’t love using the term “New Years Resolution” because it assumes there is a problem.  I like to think of it as a New Years Improvement.

This time of year as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor is the absolute busiest time of year.  While other businesses are slowing down because of weather, money, etc, the fitness industry is booming with people who are trying to improve themselves.  This time of year, the masses are prioritizing their health and are moving in the direction of healthier habits.  Unfortunately, as most of us in the industry see, it starts to taper off around late February to mid March.
