Trampoline Fitness
I was super excited to try a Tramp and Tone class at Mega, a local boutique studio offering Megaformer (Pilates reformers) and MegaTramp (trampoline fitness) classes. Through Offline Raleigh Durham, I was able to secure 2 tickets for a friend and me to try the class on a Sunday morning and it was awesome! First of all, this cute little studio nestled in a strip mall off Wake Forest Road is easily accessible by the beltline. The owner, Alicia Belle, might be the nicest, most approachable person I’ve met in the fitness industry. Her passion for her brand sparkles in her eyes and her smile! What a gem.
When we arrived, we were told what to expect by the instructor, Morgan. She set our expectations by honestly telling us we were going to feel uncoordinated and a little off balance. Thank you for that! Everyone felt a little less nervous after that. The class started with some intense energy and I forgot to start my apple watch until 3 minutes in when I looked to see what my heart rate was! Even feeling fairly conditioned cardiovascularly, it was extremely apparent that I hadn’t flexed THOSE particular cardio muscles!
The Tramp and Tone class allowed us brief respites from the cardio by doing floor work with Pilates-inspired moves. Morgan gave us incredible verbal cues and stayed connected with the class the entire time.
Mega offers a 2 for $30 deal for brand new students and I am certainly going to return! It was an amazing time, fun music, and dripping sweat that I won’t soon forget! Care to join me on the next trip? Comment Below!
