Workout Leggings Rated - Lululemon, Tuff, All In Motion

On our next installment of women’s leggings rated for working out, I have three VERY popular brands rated: Lululemon, Costco brand Tuff, and Target Brand All in Motion. Here they are rated on 6 different categories:

Lululemon Wunder Train High-Rise Tight 25” - OVERALL SCORE A

  1. Wearability/Comfort - A

    • These leggings were incredibly comfortable, did not ride up or fall down, kept everything in well, and were easily my favorite leggings of all!

  2. Crotch Sweat - B+

    • I went with black for color and there was a little discoloration from crotch sweat so I am guessing a light color might be problematic. Overall, not really noticeable unless you are looking for it.

  3. Camel toe - B

    • Camel toe only happened in certain positions, particularly lying down with my legs together but most other positions, wasn’t a problem at all

  4. Durability - A

    • I am guessing that these will last awhile. They seem extremely durable particularly at the seams. Only time will tell if they last but they seem extremely durable.

  5. Style - A

    • I love the look of these. They are very flattering and not see through.

  6. Value - C-

    • Because these are a high end company, the leggings regularly priced are $98. That’s a lot of money for leggings. However, I definitely believe you get what you pay for here. Definitely worth the extra cost.

Costco Brand Tuff Athletics High Rise Tight - OVERALL SCORE C-

  1. Wearability/Comfort - C

    • While these leggings stayed up and didn’t ride up, they were very thick material and not breathable. Someone told me that they were supposed to be the cheaper version of Lululemon…um, no way.

  2. Crotch Sweat - A

    • No crotch sweat marks and I was working out in 90 degree heat outside

  3. Camel toe - A

    • Camel toe was non-existent. This is probably because of the extremely thick material. Not meant for warm weather workouts but might be good for cold weather.

  4. Durability - B

    • I feel like these leggings are probably pretty durable but the overall comfort and style left a lot to be desired.

  5. Style - D

    • The style was extremely unflattering. I wouldn’t purchase these again. By the way, I bought a medium and it felt a little big so I bought a small thinking that maybe the sizing was the problem. It wasn’t.

  6. Value - A

    • I purchased these on sale for $10. Hard to beat that price. Even that cheap though, I wouldn’t purchase them again.

Target All in Motion Tight - OVERALL SCORE D

  1. Wearability/Comfort - D

    • The material on these leggings was about the only redeeming quality. It was extremely soft, however, that’s where the compliments end. They did not fit properly as they kept sagging down and I had to constantly try to pull them up. The waist line was WAY too big while the butt part was too tight which I think resulted in the sagging problem. I purchased these because of the Sweaty Betty incident (read previous blog post) and I was utterly disappointed.

  2. Crotch Sweat - A

    • No crotch sweat marks but I only wore them once to workout since they drove me so crazy. They are in the donation pile now.

  3. Camel toe - A

    • Camel toe was non-existent. Probably because of the sagging problem

  4. Durability - D

    • I would rate this higher on the durability scale if I could wear them longer than once. I’m sure they last a long time if you refuse to wear them.

  5. Style - C

    • Not flattering when the ass part is sagging.

  6. Value - D

    • I would say the price is good but the value is bad. Hard to justify paying more than $20 for something that you only wear once.

Thanks for all your suggestions on leggings. I am still searching for the perfect pair. Don’t forget to comment with your favorites!
